Besides donating Rs 520,000 in to CM’s flood relief account.
In the selected region of Rohan Mazaari, the Rotary Club Lahore Jinnah district raised Rs 2.5 million and organized the distribution of the following items through a team of club volunteers who oversaw the activity in the inaccessible flood-affected areas
Additionally, a sum of Rs 800,000 was allocated to aid destitute families, focusing particularly on those who had lost their daily wages or income. This amount was distributed equally among the recipients, with each family receiving Rs 5000.
With the assistance of local community leaders, a team of young individuals and a doctor from Bahawalpur organized a medical camp at the Masjid of Basti Javed. The entire basti took advantage of this opportunity, and the medical camp proved to be highly successful. The event provided much-needed medical support to the community and fostered a sense of collaboration between the volunteers and the locals.
In the flood’s aftermath, we provided financial help of Rs. 50,000 to a young girl’s father who had lost her dowry.
This support enabled her to have the wedding of her dreams despite the challenges posed by the natural disaster.
Rotary Club Lahore Jinnah, District 3272, has adopted the badly-hit basti of Manjhani and is committed to uplifting the community through initiatives such as rebuilding homes and providing access to clean drinking water. Our focus is on addressing the needs of the community to protect them from the harsh winter and to help them recover from the flood’s aftermath. Our mission to rescue and support flood-affected individuals remains ongoing.
