Our aim is to empower communities by providing access to grants and resources, fostering innovation, and encouraging the adoption of local solutions to address the causes and mitigate the effects of climate change and environmental degradation. Why Environment?

Environmental challenges are prevalent globally, and Rotary empowers individuals to enact substantial change through well-informed, sustainable, and community-oriented solutions that combat the root causes and consequences of climate change.

Despite its recent approval in 2020, Rotary has been active in environmental initiatives for years. By focusing on areas like community economic development and water, sanitation, and hygiene, Rotary has directed over $18 million towards global grants that significantly benefit the environment. Our efforts align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, encompassing a collective commitment to safeguarding the planet.
